Medieval Mini-Catapult Build and Battle Workshop

The enemy’s castle looms up, towers reaching towards the sky. How will you break through those massive soaring walls to conquer your foe? On your command, soldiers begin hauling in a giant wooden catapult, the ultimate in modern medieval weaponry. With the arm cranked back, a massive boulder is loaded into the scoop. You watch as the boulder sails through the air and strikes a devastating blow to your enemy’s walls. Your triumph is at hand! Come join us to build and then battle with the peak of medieval technology by building your own table-top catapult.

In this workshop, facilitators will lead youth in constructing table-top medieval catapults from provided supplies. Once catapults are complete, the participants will be divided into teams and will take part in a battle.

Jeremy and Jonah are skilled builders with a vast experience in building ancient weaponry, including a full size trebuchet. With their deep interest in history, particularly historical warfare, they are keen to bring history alive for those who dare to adventure with them.
