Online Databases & eResources

As a public library we now have access to a variety of eResources which our patrons can use at the library or online from home. You will be required to enter your library card number for some of these resources. Access to these online databases is funded by the Ministry of Culture through Knowledge Ontario. 

Mango Languages: Mango Languages is now offering their platform for free!!

Canadian Reference Centre: is the largest collection of regional full-text content available to Canadian schools and libraries. The database includes leading Canadian and international periodicals, reference books and biographies, plus thousands of images from the Canadian Press. Username: solstrial ; Password: Spring20202!

Knowbuddy: Knowbuddy Resources is providing free unlimited access to hundreds of eBooks through their online virtual portal.

TumbleBookLibrary: Picture books come to life with animation, sound, music and narration. Read along to animated picture books, try a digital graphic novel, watch educational videos and play games.

Tumble Math: TumbleMath is a comprehensive collection of online math, story and picture books that includes full narration and animation. Lesson plans and quizzes are available and specifically written to address math standards.

TeenBookCloud: An online collection of eBooks, enhanced novels, graphic novels, videos, and audiobooks, which offers students and adults of all reading levels access to an amazing range of content.

AudioBookCloud: Stream contemporary fiction, nonfiction and English and American classics (with some Spanish translations) in this easy-to-use digital collection with no software or apps to download.

RomanceBookCloud: A curated collection of romance ebooks. Whether it be contemporary, historical, time travel, paranormal or inspirational, you will love to read about love at RomanceBookCloud.

G1/M1 Driving Practice Tests: Be better prepared for your G1 & M1 Driver’s Exams! This online resource offers FREE Practice tests and test simulators. The site also has a FAQ section for general questions regarding all things license related. A great resource for new drivers and those who need to take a renewal exam.

Ancestry Library Edition: Census records, passenger lists, and other material for researching your family history. Note: In-library access only.

Kids InfoBits: For kids in kindergarten through grade 5, information provided through a developmentally appropriate, visually graphic interface with a subject-based topic tree.
